In our latest blog, we chat with our Customer Service Advisor , Yetunde Omowale.
Hi Yetunde, Can you tell us about your role at One Nexus?
My role focuses on customer service for Nexus Mobility Solutions and supporting Ford Rental Customer Service whenever necessary. I check customer details against insurance policies to ensure everything matches. I then take ownership of the customer journey until the vehicle is returned. Whether I am dealing with dealers or directly with customers, my goal is to uphold One Nexus Group's reputation for operational excellence and immediate responsiveness.
What is your experience in the automotive industry so far?
Honestly, I didn’t have any automotive experience when I started - One Nexus Group is my first job in the industry.
It was only during my training that I learned the names, sizes, and categories of different cars. Yes, I really was that clueless.
How has your journey with One Nexus been so far?
I started in April 2024, with Ford Rental and started a new role as Customer Service Advisor for Nexus Mobility Solutions in June 2025. I was a bit nervous when I started, but One Nexus Group was the perfect place to learn.
I’ve mostly learned by doing - like when we started working with Renault. It was exciting and challenging, but seeing it succeed was a big win and really showed how well we all work together.
What would you say you enjoy most about your job?
There are many things I enjoy. The team is incredibly kind and was so helpful when I first started. Even though I asked a lot of questions, everyone remained patient and supportive.
This experience helped me treat new employees who started after me with that same kindness and understanding.
Also, the respect shown for people's beliefs and cultures has made me feel like a true part of the team.
What was it about One Nexus that made you want to get involved?
When I first applied to One Nexus Group, the position was filled by someone else. However, I stayed proactive and asked to be contacted for future roles.
Just a week later, they reached out to see if I was still interested. That persistence paid off, and once I started, I saw a growing industry that I really wanted to be part of.
I was also very impressed by the management team and the supportive environment they created.
Outside of work, what do you enjoy doing?
I am very family-orientated. I have twins who are turning 13 this year, so I spend a lot of my time supporting their growth and staying active with all their after-school clubs.
I am also religious. In my free time, I enjoy watching movies and shopping.
Finally, what is one thing you would like readers to know about yourself or One Nexus that they might not know already?
One Nexus is a fantastic company to work for; the management constantly reminds you that you are valued. We all truly care about one another.
