In our latest blog, we chat with our Senior Finance & Compliance Assistant, Laura Lattuada.

Hi, Laura. Can you tell us about your role at One Nexus?
I’m currently the Senior Finance and Compliance assistant for the Ford Rental program. My main tasks are being responsible for the purchase ledger for all Ford dealers and subcontractors, actioning daily CXCV payments and supplier mid-month and month end payments through the banking system, and overall support of the Finance & Compliance teams across all One Nexus Programmes.

What is your experience in the automotive industry so far?
Working for One Nexus is my first experience within the automotive industry, this business taught me basically everything I know.

How has your journey with One Nexus been so far?
I started working for One Nexus in November 2019 as a Reservation Agent with it being my first “office job”. It was challenging but so rewarding, so when I was offered the opportunity to apply for the Program Coordinator position, I took it straight away. This second role gave me the chance to work across departments and understand on a deeper level what One Nexus really is. Working between the Ford Rental reservations team, Kia Rental reservations team, Nexus Mobility Solutions and Ford Rental Finance, it was no secret to my colleagues that I fell in love with the Finance tasks and team almost immediately. Therefore, when a position opened up in the team, I gladly applied and became a Finance and Compliance assistant. With the business constantly growing and evolving, I worked for different departments in the Finance team, including Damage. All the knowledge I gathered in those 2 years allowed me to confidently apply for and gain the senior position.

What would you say you enjoy most about your job?
Being there for the whole team, assisting them in their daily tasks and queries. How varied the department’s workload is, and due to this, never being bored.

What was it about One Nexus that made you want to get involved?
My previous work experience is diverse because I always struggled to find a company whose work ethics matched mine, the management team at One Nexus makes its employees feel valued and seen. One Nexus gave me the opportunity to grow and the necessary tools and support to achieve my goals.

Outside of work, what do you enjoy doing?
I enjoy living a quiet life with my Irish setter Haru and my partner Ale. I love travelling, especially back to Italy to visit my family, reading books and watching K-Dramas. I recently dusted off an old hobby: riding my motorbike, which I document on my socials.
