Hi Casey, Can you tell us about your role at One Nexus?

My Role at One Nexus is Senior Finance and Compliance assistant, focusing on Renault, Kia and NMS. Theres been a lot of change over the last 6 months in my role given how fast this section of the business is expanding, and it’s been an exciting challenge learning and creating new processes.

What is your experience in the automotive industry so far?
Before Starting at One Nexus – Nothing! I was interested in working in a finance role and when the opportunity came up at Nexus, I was keen to get involved. Over the last 4 and a half years I’ve learned more about cars than I ever thought I would and it definitely adds an interesting layer to a normal finance role.

How has your journey with One Nexus been so far?
I started in 2021 as a Finance and Compliance assistant working as programme support across Ford programme and the NMS / Kia programmes, so I had a great opportunity to see all aspects of the business. Then in 2025 I applied for the role of Senior Finance and compliance assistant on NMS as this side of the business was rapidly growing. I was given the chance to step into this role and now support 2 finance and compliance assistants on this team.

What would you say you enjoy most about your job?
I really enjoy the fact that no two days are the same. Since I started, the volume of new business has grown significantly, which means there are always new challenges to tackle. It keeps the role fast paced and engaging, and it certainly makes the days fly by.

What was it about One Nexus that made you want to get involved?
I was introduced to the opportunity by my partners mum who is currently our Head of Operations and had been working at One Nexus for nearly 25 years at the time, so I knew going in, that this was somewhere for the long run that offered plenty of opportunity for growth which is something I really wanted.

Outside of work, what do you enjoy doing?
Outside of work, I enjoy walking my sausage dog, Ralph, spending time with my partner, friends and family, and I’m a keen reader. I’m also currently 36 weeks pregnant, so a lot of my time has recently been spent organising and preparing for that exciting next chapter!

Finally, what is one thing you would like readers to know about yourself or One Nexus that they might not know already?
One Nexus is growing really quickly. It’s an exciting time to be part of the journey, because that growth opens up plenty of opportunities for people to learn, develop, and progress together.
