Hi Monika, Can you tell us about your role at One Nexus?

I’m currently the Senior Finance and Compliance assistant for the Ford Rental program. My main tasks are being responsible for the purchase ledger for all Ford dealers and subcontractors, actioning payments through the banking system, and overall support of the Finance & Compliance team across Ford Rental program.

What is your experience in the automotive industry so far?
Working for One Nexus is my first experience within the automotive industry, this business taught me everything I know.

How has your journey with One Nexus been so far?
I started working for one Nexus in April 2022 as a credit controller to ensure the efficient payment of invoices for rental vehicles in the corporate and warranty sector. Since joining the company, I was trained to support the Finance team with additional finance duties across sales and purchase ledger. All the knowledge I have gathered allowed me to confidently apply for the senior position in 2025.

What would you say you enjoy most about your job?
I enjoy being there for the whole team and supporting colleagues with their daily tasks and queries. The varied nature of the department's workload keeps every day different, providing continuous learning opportunities and ensuring the role remains engaging and rewarding.

What was it about One Nexus that made you want to get involved?
At One Nexus, the management team makes employees feel genuinely valued, recognised, and supported. The company has provided me with opportunities for growth, along with the tools, guidance, and encouragement needed to achieve my goals.

Outside of work, what do you enjoy doing?
Outside of work, I enjoy walking my Australian Labradoodle, Jimi, and spending quality time with my partner, Dion. We enjoy watching British crime dramas together and share a passion for travelling and exploring new places. One of my personal goals is to visit as many countries and destinations as possible in the future, creating new experiences and memories along the way.
